About Us
The program was created in 1987 under the name Coins for Christmas and was built on the simple philosophy of “kids helping kids.” In 2018, the program was revamped to be called Kicks for Kids to help spread awareness that the program can be utilized year-round. In 2022, the program became a 501(c)(3) charity known as the EICU Charitable Foundation.
The purpose of the EICU Charitable Foundation is to build better lives throughout Idaho. One of the main efforts of the foundation is to raise money for new shoes for less fortunate children while teaching children the value of giving, but the EICU Charitable foundation doesn’t stop there.
Fundraising
Fundraising for the EICU Charitable Foundation is done throughout the year during our Kicks for Kids Golf Tournament and our Coins for Christmas Fundraiser. Anyone can Donate Online as well as at any East Idaho Credit Union Branch.
Through these fundraising efforts, we are able to provide shoe vouchers to children that are identified by participating schools and organizations in Idaho. Shoe vouchers are requested by School Counselors, Social Workers, and other local leaders in our communities. If you know a child in need, please speak with your local school about our program.
